Last night I got a chance to talk with Jeff Tremaine on the red carpet for the MTV Movie Awards. Tremaine, the director of Jackass and Jackass Number 2, spoke about the upcoming Jackass 3D. Tremaine confirmed that the film is still on track for October 15, 2010 while adding that they're “almost done filming” but they “didn’t go international yet”. Also, for anyone worried that the complications of filming in 3D would hinder the Jackass team’s improvisational style, Tremaine assured me that the 3D is looking “awesome”. Hit the jump to read or listen to the full interview.

When does Jackass 3 start filming?

JEFF TREMAINE: Jackass 3 is almost done filming. We’re deep in to it.

Where have you been filming?

TREMAINE: A lot of U.S., we didn’t go international yet, we’re about to do some…a couple of bits.

How is the 3D?

TREMAINE: It’s awesome. It’s really good.

When can we expect to see it in theaters?

TREMAINE: In October I believe. That’s what we’re talking about right now, middle of October.
