In what is apparently an annual occurrence, Fandango has released its 2011 "Hot List." Featuring prestigious categories such as "The Sexiest Man/Woman in 2011 Movies" and "The Next Big American Movie Star," the list derives from a survey of 1000 Fandango users and is undoubtedly an honor that is revered by industry professionals and general fans alike (I think, at least).
Stars such as Natalie Portman, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, and Blake Lively were among the big winners this year, with Depp being a unanimous choice for sexiest male actor (in the name of fairness, the results are divided into male and female respondent polls). Fair warning, though, respondents ranked Olivia Wilde at number #10 in the "sexiest" category, essentially voiding all of its supposed findings.

It's been a newsy week for Natalie Portman, who has been selected by male moviegoers as the sexiest - if not the busiest - woman in 2011 movies (with No Strings Attached, Your Highness, The Other Woman and Thor, all due for release next year), according to a survey on Fandango, the nation's leading movie ticketing destination.
More than 1,000 moviegoers were surveyed on Fandango during Christmas weekend regarding their most anticipated movies and performances of the new year.
Penelope Cruz, starring in summer 2011's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, was picked as the screen's sexiest woman by female moviegoers.
Both men and women voted for Pirates 4 star Johnny Depp as the sexiest man in 2011 movies.
Megan Fox, previously picked by both men and women as the #1 "sexiest woman in the movies" on the 2009 Hot List, is now #6, among men's choices, and #9, among women's picks, in the 2011 Hot List survey.
Blake Lively, star of TV's "Gossip Girl" and a supporting actor in 2010's The Town, was picked by both men and women as "The Next Big American Movie Star" for her upcoming role in 2011's Green Lantern.
