We got a fuzzy, Photoshopped look at The Thing (Jamie Bell) in a Fantastic Four international banner a couple of weeks ago, but how about a much clearer official still of the character? Empire just shared three new images from the film and one is a solo, head-on shot of Ben Grimm post-transformation. Here’s what director Josh Trank told the outlet about using motion capture technology to ensure Grimm’s personality comes through while in Thing form:

“Jamie in real life is a tough guy. He exudes this strength. Ben is Reed’s best friend in the archetypal, spiritual way, and you want that character to have that warmth and that strength.”

In addition to the shot of The Thing, Empire also has an image of Ben, Reed Richards (Miles Teller), Sue Storm (Kate Mara) and Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan) during their expedition to another dimension and another shot of Reed strapped to a gurney. (Possibly with abnormally long arms?) You can check out all three Fantastic Four images below. The film is due in theaters on August 7th and also stars Toby Kebbell and Tim Blake Nelson.
