Ubisoft's Far Cry 5 might be out on March 27th, but a new trailer for a live-action short film tie-in is here today! Titled Far Cry 5: Inside Eden's Gate, the upcoming short will introduce the game's cult Eden's Gate and its charismatic leader, Joseph Seed. Greg Byrk plays the cult leader in both the game itself and this live-action tale, in which his followers take control of a small town in Hope County, Montana.

Inside Eden's Gate, also starring Kyle Gallner, sees a small team of vloggers responding to a request for help in investigating the cult, only to wind up on the wrong side of the cultists themselves. This doesn't bode well for our live-action heroes, as the trailer suggests, but hopefully the player character will fare better once the game opens up the story a bit more later this month. In the meantime, keep an eye out for the short film coming to Amazon Prime Video on March 5th. And be sure to let us know if you'll be picking up Far Cry 5!

ABOUT FAR CRY 5 INSIDE EDEN’S GATE:

In Inside Eden’s Gate, rumors of a fanatical cult called The Project at Eden’s Gate lure three vloggers to the remote Hope County, Montana. As the vloggers follow the leads of missing locals and other strange events, they come face-to-face with Joseph Seed, played by the same actor as the in-game version of the cult leader, and the rest of the fanatical doomsday cult.

Produced by Asylum Entertainment, Inside Eden’s Gate features Greg Bryk (A History of Violence) and Kyle Gallner (American Sniper).
