As long as there's an audience for elaborate murdergasms, the Final Destination franchise should be a success.  The fifth installment (thankfully no longer titled "5nal Destination") is due out in 3D on August 26th and actor Tony Todd, who is returning to the series, says that if it opens at #1, they'll shoot parts 6 and 7 back-to-back .  Here's what Todd told Dread Central:

"Thumbs up! Thumbs way up. They expanded my part, and the producer told me as we were leaving Vancouver that if it opens at Number 1 – which statistically it has – they’re going to shoot the next two simultaneously."

Final Destination 5's opening disaster will involve a bridge collapse.  I'm sure by the time we reach Final Destination 7, the inciting event will involve a slick patch of ice in the main character's driveway.
