I am really not ready to say goodbye to Mad Men. But alas, the time has come. The culmination of eight years' worth of story, tears, and laughter takes center stage this Sunday night, as the last episode of Mad Men ever airs on AMC. In anticipation of the series finale, the network has put together a farewell promo set to “Times of Your Life” that looks back on all that’s come before.

Though I’m still a bit irked at the network for splitting the final season in half, thus altering the natural rhythm of the season’s arc, I really think the series has been firing on all cylinders in this final batch of seven episodes. I never expected Mad Men to end the way I wanted it to, but it feels like it's leading to a conclusion that fits perfectly with the kind of story that creator Matthew Weiner and Co. have been telling from the beginning. And these performances, man. Can somebody give Jon Hamm/Christina Hendricks/Elisabeth Moss/January Jones/etc. an Emmy finally? It's insane to think that this show has zero acting wins.

But it’s not over yet! We’ve still got a few days left before it goes away forever, so while making your preparations for Sunday’s event, take a look at the new (and final) retrospective piece that will debut on air tomorrow and act as a “curtain raiser” for the final episode on Sunday, May 17th.
