L.A. Readers: Win Free Tickets to Our IMAX Screening of ‘Ford v Ferrari’ with James Mangold Q&A

     November 10, 2019

One of my favorite movies of 2019 is director James Mangold’s Ford v Ferrari. Not only is the true-story racing drama incredibly well made, it’s loaded with fantastic performances from every single cast member. Trust me, if you want to see a brilliant piece of filmmaking, look no further than Ford v Ferrari. For more on the film, you can read Adam Chitwood’s glowing review.

ford-v-ferrari-imax-posterIf you haven’t seen the trailer, Ford v Ferrari is set against the backdrop of 1966’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France and follows maverick American car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), who is challenged by Henry Ford II (Tracy Letts) and Lee Iacocca (Jon Bernthal) to build a revolutionary car that would allow Ford to challenge Ferrari. Christian Bale plays the fearless British racer Ken Miles, who gets behind the wheel of the new Ford racing vehicle. The film also stars Caitriona BalfeJosh Lucas, and Noah Jupe.

With the film getting ready to hit theaters and IMAX on November 15th, I’m excited to announce Collider is partnering up with 20th Century Fox and IMAX for an early screening of Ford v Ferrari. After the movie ends, I’ll be moderating a Q&A with James Mangold.

The IMAX screening will be Thursday, November 14th and start at 6:30pm.

If you’re wondering how you can get in, we’ve got you covered. To see this free screening you need to email thecollidermailbox@gmail.com with the subject line “I Want to See Ford v Ferrari.” Since demand for this one will be extremely high, in the body of the email please include why you should be one of the people that get to attend the screening. In addition, you need to include your name in the body of the email and if you’d like to bring a guest. We’ll be accepting emails until noon on Monday, November 11th and we’ll contact the people that won passes with specific info about the screening soon after.

Hope to see you next week!

Finally, we’re also showing Knives Out with director Rian Johnson next week. So if you want to try for tickets to that, click here for details.
