The smash-hit of 2013, Disney's Frozen, not only told the fantastic sisterly story of Arendelle's Anna and Elsa, it introduced the infections and unforgettable song "Let It Go" into the zeitgeist. Now, the highly anticipated sequel Frozen 2 has been glimpsed thanks to the film's first trailer.

First and foremost, this is a great trailer. It features zero dialogue, but sets the stage with a surprising and moody opening sequence that finds Elsa standing in front of the ocean. Indeed, a major theme in this teaser is fall and autumn imagery, in direct contrast to the snowy aesthetic of the first movie. A change of scenery is necessary to keep things fresh, and the animators have done a downright gorgeous job bringing this new environment to life. I also admire that the trailer didn't simply feature a reprise of "Let It Go"—that'd be too easy. Instead, it very much looks like Frozen II (as it's apparently officially titled) is forging its own path, not just riding on the coattails of its predecessor. Color me excited.
