Good news, everyone! Samantha Bee will be sticking around for the foreseeable future. In the post-Jon Stewart era of Late Night TV, we’ve seen a number of compelling and funny voices rise, from John Oliver on HBO to Seth Meyers leading the classic network model on NBC. But Full Frontal with Samantha Bee on TBS caught many off guard, as the weekly comedy program hit the ground running when it debuted in February and quickly became appointment television. And now, TBS has renewed the program for a second season, ensuring that Full Frontal will be on the air to cover at least the first year of the Trump Presidency throughout 2017.

Full Frontal will move from its Monday timeslot to Wednesdays at 10:30pm ET/PT starting January 11th in an effort to make the production a bit easier on Bee’s team, as they were frequently slammed with updating the Monday night program over the weekend as new developments arose.

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee is, full-stop, one of the best shows on TV right now. The series didn’t even need a few episodes to find its footing—Bee came out of the gate fired up and ready to go, and the program has regularly been equal parts hilarious and insightful.

What makes Full Frontal stand out is Bee’s strong point of view. Many of these late night series feel aimless and, as a result, toothless. But Bee’s passion for current events seeps offscreen, and just as Stewart made himself appointment TV in the 2000s with his smart, scathing, pointed segments, Bee is not afraid to ruffle feathers and makes no effort to hide her anger and frustration when it arises. And, considering the past year, has been a lot.

But Full Frontal is also unique in that it has a distinctly feminine point of view, which gives Bee a unique insight into current events on the late night TV landscape. You may have noticed it’s a bit of a male-dominated genre, but with Full Frontal’s diverse crew and Bee’s feminist leanings, the show is a refreshing change of pace from pretty much everything else on TV right now.

While Stewart’s departure from The Daily Show was certainly a loss, and the early cancellation of The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore was disappointing, between Bee, Oliver, and Meyers we’re certainly not lacking for engaging, whip-smart, and really funny politics-centric late night TV. And thankfully, Bee isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
