Universal Pictures has released the very first Furious 7 clip and a new poster for director James Wan’s (The Conjuring) action sequel. The follow-up returns the franchise to its roots in Los Angeles, as Vin Diesel and his family find themselves fighting for their lives against vengeful mastermind Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), the brother of Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) - who perished in Fast & Furious 6. Like everything else we've seen from the film so far, this clip is excellent. The near 3-minute scene teases one of the film's key set-pieces in which the racing "family" drives out of a plane - to what purpose, we don't yet know, but who cares because they're driving out of a freaking plane! The clip is fun and humorous, who doesn't like a joke at Roman's expense? But what's more exciting to me, it's thrilling. Wan is bringing his own style to the franchise, and that seems to be a very good thing.
