Some celebrity partners have remained committed to each other for 10, 20, or even 30-plus years! Did your favorite famous couple make the list?

Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson

These two actors have been going strong and loving long, having been married for over 30 years! Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson first met on the set of Hanks’ sitcom Bosom Buddies in 1981, feeling chemistry both on-camera and off-camera.

But, they didn't act on it.

In 1985, they co-starred together in Volunteers. Feelings were still bubbling, but they chose to remain friends. It wasn’t until 1986 that they started dating, tying the knot in 1988. Hanks and Wilson have endured parenthood, a battle with breast cancer, and demanding careers, yet continue to tackle life as a team.

Dax Shepard & Kristen Bell

This cute couple started dating in 2007 and co-starred together in the romantic comedy When in Rome before getting engaged in 2009. They didn’t officially get married until 2013, choosing to wait until same-sex couples got the right to marry in the U.S.

Both known for their comedic roles, Dax Shepard and Kristin Bell’s marriage is something out of a sitcom. Dax rented a sloth habitat for Kristin’s 31st birthday, and she was so overwhelmed with happiness that she had an emotional meltdown. Both of them credit communication and therapy as secrets to their success as a couple.

Beyoncé & Jay-Z

This power couple in the music industry took a while to get started. While they met in 1999, Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z talked on the phone for over a year before they started dating. They finally started a relationship in 2001, but kept it private… sort of.

They never addressed the rumors of their connection, but Jay-Z's and Beyoncé’s collaboration in the songs “‘03 Bonnie & Clyde” and “Crazy in Love” were strong hints. They got married in 2008 and, in spite of a brief period of infidelity by Jay-Z, the two remain together and parent three children.

Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick

These two actors had their career breaks in the 1980s, but wouldn’t meet until 1991. Matthew Broderick was directing a play for a theater troupe that was founded by Sarah Jessica Parker’s brothers. Broderick was so nervous that he didn’t ask Parker for a date until 1992.

They would date and support each other’s careers, finally marrying in 1997. They mentioned in interviews that the secret to their success as a couple is respect, privacy, commitment, investing in their children’s lives, and time away from each other doing acting jobs. You know, simple stuff.

Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi

The story of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi began in 2000 when the two met at a party. It took nearly four years for Portia to muster up the courage to ask Ellen for a date, because Portia hadn't yet come out as a lesbian. The two publicly confirmed their relationship in 2005, and married in 2008.

For over a decade, tabloids spread divorce rumors, but they have been unfounded time and again. In one loving moment, Portia supported her wife’s environmental activism by gifting Ellen a gorilla sanctuary for her 60th birthday. For over ten years, the couple still has each others’ backs.

David & Victoria Beckham

The soccer star and pop music icon first met in 1997 after Victoria Adams, then known as Posh Spice, attended a Manchester United game at David Beckham’s request. The two instantly connected. The paparazzi would follow their brief courtship, getting engaged in 1998.

The two would marry on July 4, 1999, and profit heavily from it. The attractive lovebirds reportedly sold their wedding photos to OK! Magazine for a stunning $1.4 million! Four kids and twenty years later, the Beckhams are just as attractive to each other as they are to the masses.

Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn

For over 35 years, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have been together, even though they aren’t officially married! They first met in 1966, but Hawn was 21 and Russell was 16 at the time. It wasn’t until they were cast in 1983’s Swing Shift that they decided to collaborate outside of filming.

During their first date, Hawn wanted to take Russell to her recently renovated house, but she didn’t have a key. After breaking into her home, the police walked in on the two of them. They “finished the date” at a hotel.

They never married, thinking that having a choice and choosing each other each day was enough. It seems to be working out so far.

Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith

The Smiths have been together for over 20 years, but their initial meeting was awkward. Jada Pinkett first met Will Smith, in 1994 during an audition of Smith’s show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She didn’t get the part. Will then saw Jada on the TV show A Different World and became smitten.

The two got married in 1997. The couple has had ups and downs, but remains strong, raising their two children and Smith’s son from a previous marriage. On Will’s 50th birthday, the couple went on a special skydiving trip to celebrate. Everyone, find yourself a partner willing to jump out of a plane with you.

Freddie Prinze Jr. & Sarah Michelle Gellar

Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar first met as coworkers, carpooling together to the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer. The two bonded and became friends before finally dating in 2000. In 2002, their wedding was plagued by both a hurricane and an earthquake!

You know that a couple that can endure actual storms and quakes can work through relationship rumbles. They credit their commitment to each other and eating home-cooked meals as a family as the reasons why their relationship has been going strong for over 20 years. That, and having separate bathrooms.

Maggie Gyllenhaal & Peter Sarsgaard

Peter Sarsgaard first met Maggie Gyllenhaal through his close friend and Maggie’s brother, Jake Gyllenhaal, in 2002. A year into their relationship, the two worked together in Steven Soderbergh’s In God’s Hands. After a lengthy courtship, the couple married in a small ceremony in Brindisi, Italy, in 2009.

The wedding was a formality, as the two were committed to raising their then two-year-old child together. The couple now has two children together and reside in Brooklyn, New York. When asked about what the best thing about being married to a fellow actor was, Sarsgaard simply said, “Sympathy.”

Sacha Baron Cohen & Isla Fisher

Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen first met Isla Fisher in Australia just as she was finishing filming Scooby-Doo in 2002. The two hit it off and got engaged in 2004, but didn’t officially get married until 2010, in a small six-person ceremony. They’ve been partners in mischief ever since.

Fisher has helped her husband’s trademark pranks, smuggling in Cohen’s Ali G costume to the 2016 Oscars, even though he was told not to perform as a character. While Fisher enjoys Cohen’s various comedy characters, he revealed that her favorite is Brüno, because he is “showered, shaved, and waxed.”

Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos

The two soap opera stars Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos first met on the set of All My Children in 1995. The two quickly eloped in 1996, after Consuelos proposed to Ripa over pizza and wine. While the two rushed into marriage, they didn’t exchange wedding rings until their 10th wedding anniversary!

Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel first met at the Golden Globes in 2007, and then dated shortly thereafter. They would be a couple for four years before taking a break in 2011, but remaining friends. The break-up didn’t last though. The two got engaged later in the year, and married in 2012. Since then, both of them support each other’s careers while raising their son together. Seriously, their social media is full of cute Halloween pictures, so check it out!

Throughout their marriage and business partnership, Ozzy would indulge in drugs and alcohol, leading him to frequently cheat on Sharon. They briefly separated in 2016 until Ozzy went to rehab. After he finished his treatment, Ozzy and Sharon renewed their vows in 2017, 35 years after their wedding.

Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart

The star of the Indiana Jones films and the star of Ally McBeal first met at the Golden Globes in 2002. In spite of their 22-year age difference, Calista Flockhart recruited her then-costar James Marsden to act as “wingman” to go out on dinners with Harrison Ford.

Ford proposed to Flockhart on Valentine’s Day in 2009, after dating for seven years. The wedding was informal, with Ford wearing jeans to his nuptials in Santa Fe (classic Indy!). The two continue to tackle life together as a couple, even raising an adopted son together.

Enrique Iglesias & Anna Kournikova

The Russian tennis star first met the soulful singer on the set of his music video for “Escape” in 2001. During their scene, sparks apparently flew between Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova, but they’ll never tell. In fact, they reveal very little about their relationship.

Image via YouTube

While they debuted as a couple at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards, the two remain coy about the status of their relationship. From 2006 to 2014, the two would say that they were married, or divorced, or that they never married and would never marry. Regardless of their relationship’s label, the two remain a couple, and raise their twins together.

Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta-Jones

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas first met at the Deauville Film Festival in 1998 through their mutual friend, Danny DeVito. The two discovered that they shared the same birthday, 25 years apart. But the age difference didn’t stop them from falling in love.

Image via NBC Universal

The couple married on November 18, 2000, in a ceremony that reportedly cost over $1.82 million dollars. The couple made some of the money back by selling their wedding photos to OK! Magazine for $1.21 million. In spite of a brief separation in 2013, the two have remained together ever since.

Judd Apatow & Leslie Mann

Before Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann were a million-dollar comedy couple, they were just two young people on an awkward first date. The two went to a basketball game, then back to Apatow's apartment for a spaghetti dinner and a viewing of the Disney comedy Heavyweights (which Apatow wrote).

Image via Universal Pictures

In spite of the unusual date, the two hit it off and married in 1997. They also have two children that became actors themselves. The couple credits their communication and sense of humor for keeping their marriage alive. That, and watching Oprah’s SuperSoul Sunday together every week.

Faith Hill & Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw first set his eyes on Faith Hill way back in 1994, when the two attended a country radio seminar. Still, they wouldn’t get together until Hill was opening for McGraw’s country music tour in 1996. The couple got married later that year.

The couple has been supportive of each other’s careers ever since they said “I do,” recording several duets on each other’s albums, including songs like “It’s Your Love” and “I Need You.” The two even collaborated on an album in 2017, titled The Rest of Our Life, celebrating over 20 years of marriage.

Jamie Lee Curtis & Christopher Guest

In 1984, Jamie Lee Curtis was looking through an issue of Rolling Stone and saw a picture of the stars of the hit comedy Spinal Tap. She pointed at one man and said to her friend, “I’m going to marry that man.” That man was Christopher Guest.

Curtis called Guest’s agent and left him her number to call in case Guest was interested in a date. He never called. Later, Curtis and Guest bumped into each other at a restaurant. They went on a first date four days later. Guest proposed a month after that, and they were married within the year.

When asked about their secret for a successful marriage, the couple simply replied, “Don’t get divorced.”

Felicity Huffman & William H. Macy

William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman first met in the 1980s, when the two were involved with the Atlantic Theatre Company in New York City. The two would continually give each other notes on their performances, which they still do to this day. While they loved each other, they were an on-and-off couple, due to Huffman’s hesitation to commit.

Macy was especially gun-shy, since Huffman turned him down after proposing to her. However, the two would reunite and officially wed on September 6, 1997. To this day, they still go on runs together and hit Pizzeria Mozza for date night.

Kevin Bacon & Kyra Sedgwick

When Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick first met on a set of PBS recorded play Lemon Sky, Sedgwick thought he was a cocky jerk. Bacon was smitten with her, though, and would invite the entire cast out for dinner in an effort to get to know Sedgwick. But she always declined the invitation.

After much prodding, Sedgwick agreed to a one-on-one dinner date, and the rest is history. They got hitched in 1988 and are still going strong, three decades into their marriage. According to Sedgwick, communication and “still finding each other sexy” has helped their relationship last.

Bryan Cranston & Robin Dearden

While they mostly kept their relationship private, the two actors still shared a few insights into their marriage. Cranston proposed to Dearden while both were in a bathtub, hiding the engagement ring on his pinky toe.

At the 2014 Met Gala, Cranston was asked, “What’s your favorite thing about her (Dearden)?” He replied, “She still gets giddy when she sees a firefly.” Adorable.

Ted Danson & Mary Steenburgen

While filming 1994’s Pontiac Moon, Mary Steenburgen told her friends was done with dating. Then she was stuck shooting a scene on a canoe with Ted Danson for 15 hours. After that, she made an exception for Ted. They married in 1995.

Both Danson and Steenburgen are in their golden years, but their love hasn’t lost its luster. Danson still fawns over his wife, telling AARP: The Magazine, “I don’t think you’re supposed to say this when you’re almost 70, but she’s very sexy.”

Danny DeVito & Rhea Perlman

Rhea Perlman’s life changed after she went with a friend to see the play The Shrinking Bride in 1971, as one of the cast members was Danny DeVito. Two weeks after meeting, they moved in together and would marry in 1982. They separated in 2012 after 30 years of marriage. Sort of.

Image via Tristar Pictures

In 2013, the couple briefly reconciled, until they separated again in 2017, but neither of them intends on getting a divorce. Perlman herself has said in interviews that they “agree on enough things so why [ruin] that with the yucky things that come with a divorce?” After 40 years of history, who can blame her?

John Travolta & Kelly Preston

Image via Paramount Pictures

After nearly 30 years of marriage, Travolta still shows Preston how much he cares. Preston has mentioned in interviews that Travolta regularly treats her with home-cooked meals and surprise flowers to this day. The couple also goes dancing, and tries to “keep it fun” and “be goofy” in front of each other to solidify their connection.

Paul Bettany & Jennifer Connelly

Upon meeting Paul Bettany on the set of A Beautiful Mind, Jennifer Connelly stated, “He started playing guitar and it was all over.” The two began officially dating after filming ended, but Bettany took a leap and proposed to Connelly after only a couple of months of dating.

Image via YouTube

She turned him down the first time, but the two eventually married in 2003 and have worked together on four films. Both of them have stated that working together was tough, but in the end, has made their marriage even stronger. Considering they've been married for over 15 years, it seems to be working.

Steve Carell & Nancy Walls

Steve Carell and Nancy Carell (née Walls) first met when Nancy took Steve’s improv class in Chicago. Nancy worked at a bar across the street, and Steve would come in to talk to her after shows. Both were nervous to make the first move, so it would be weeks before they went on a date.

They got married in 1995 and have encouraged each other’s comedy careers ever since. Both appeared on The Daily Show, and Walls got a recurring guest role on Carell's hit show The Office. The couple also co-created the TBS sitcom Angie Tribeca together, proving that laughter makes love last.

Angela Bassett & Courtney B. Vance

While they both met at the Yale School of Drama in the 1980s, Courtney B. Vance and Angela Bassett didn’t date until they crossed paths again in Los Angeles in 1994. Both of them admitted that their first date was a bust, but sparks flew after their second date on a golf course.

They married in 1997, and after ten years of marriage, they co-wrote the book Friends: A Love Story to get into detail about how they evolved from great friends to even greater lovers. Both of them cite communication, negotiation, and faith as the foundations of their lasting partnership.

Warren Beatty & Annette Bening

While filming 1991’s Bugsy, then-notorious bachelor Warren Beatty fell head over heels for Annette Bening when they met for lunch. “I remember losing interest in my garlic chicken within 20 seconds,” Beatty told People Magazine. They would get married the following year, and have been connected ever since.

Image via Tristar Pictures

The secret to their long-lasting marriage? Surprises. “Every day she surprises me,” said Beatty. Bening is quick to point out that Beatty also often “does the unexpected thing.” Being in different stages of life due to their 21-year age difference also prepared Bening for what lied ahead and Beatty to live with more vigor. It was just the right balance of compatibility.
