A retro poster for the remake of Gambit has gone online.  The update was written by Joel and Ethan Coen and stars Colin Firth as a London art dealer who enlists a Texas Rodeo Queen (Cameron Diaz) to help him con the richest man in England (Alan Rickman).  The original 1966 film, which starred Michael Caine, Shirley MacLaine, and Herbert Lom, is a must-see, and while it sets a high bar, I'm still excited to see what the remake has to offer.  At the very least, it's got a nice poster that recalls the original without copying it.

Hit the jump to check out the poster.  Gambit opens in the U.K. on November 21st, and will hit the U.S. in early 2013.

Here's the official synopsis for Gambit:

The story centers on British art curator Harry Deane (Firth) who devises a finely-crafted scheme to con England’s richest man and avid art collector, Lionel Shabandar, (Rickman) into purchasing a fake Monet painting.  In order to bait his buyer, he recruits a Texas rodeo queen (Diaz) to cross the pond and pose as a woman whose grandfather liberated the painting at the end of WWII.
