Music is coming when the Game of Thrones Concert Experience hits up a city near you beginning in February. What will it look like? What does it entail? Now we have a better idea of what to expect in a new preview video from HBO.
As shown in the dramatization, the event will take over a concert venue with an immersive stage. Game of Thrones imagery will be projected on screens in back of a drumline, but the other musicians (i.e. the symphony orchestra and choir) will be hidden behind these screens. From a musician’s standpoint, this already reveals some complications, mainly proper feedback so the choir and orchestra can sync up if they really will be placed at opposite ends of the stage.
Watch the concert preview, which includes figures flashing their smartphones, so you know it’ll be a Twitter- and Instagram-friendly event.
