HBO continues to tease us with a steady stream of images and clips from Game of Thrones Season 5, which premieres in less than a month. On the one hand, it's super exciting! On the other, I fear at some point we'll have watched most of the season before it starts.

In any case, the two new scenes released today focus on what Game of Thrones does best: conversation. Between the dragons and the Blackwater Bays and the crossbows to the gut, Game of Thrones has a lot of talking (in fact, that crossbow scene finished off a really amazing exchange between Tyrion and Tywin). These scheming conversations are where the actors are really able to shine, and the set decorations, costumes, and feel for the world of Westeros become visceral.

So, after some action-packed trailers for the upcoming season, we're now getting two quiet scenes. In the first, Jon Snow attempts to woo Mance Rayder to his side of the fight, brokering an alliance between the Wildlings and the Night's Watch. In the second clip, Varys and Tyrion talk about why Varys released him. "I believe men of talent have a part to play in the war to come," Varys replies.

We are also now getting a glimpse of Nell Tiger Free as Myrcella Baratheon (who is another incest baby, being the daughter of Cersei and Jamie). As you may (or may not) recall, Myrcella was sent to Dorne as part of a peace deal brokered by Tyrion in the hopes that she would marry Trystane Martell. Until that time when they are both old enough, Myrcella would reside in Dorne (where, as far as we have heard, she's doing just fine). Since the story will be moving to the Sunspear for part of Season 5, it looks like Myrcella will start to play a bigger role in the series.

You can check it all out below. Game of Thrones Season 5 premieres on HBO April 12th at 9 p.m. ET.
