Hot on the heels of the debut trailer, the very first Game of Thrones Season 5 images have been unveiled by HBO.  As the premiere approaches, fans are no doubt curious to see how the show picks up now that the material has come very close to catching up to the books (and also seeing as how we won’t be getting The Winds of Winter any time soon).  These images are curious in that everyone appears to be so spread out, scattered across the great lands of Westeros, but if the first four seasons were about expanding the scope of the world, I imagine in these final two or three seasons all the characters will start finding their footing and preparing for the battle of the throne—or the zombie apocalypse, whichever comes first.

As someone who’s never read the books I’m excited to continue on with Tyrion, Arya, and of course Brienne when the show returns and see where their individual journeys take them, and today’s unveiling of the trailer and images have only made the anticipation for the show's return that much more difficult.
