When we learned that Vimeo would be releasing a documentary about the life and career of international superstar writer Neil Gaiman, they had our curiosity. Then, when we learned that world-renowned author George R.R. Martin would be hosting a screening of that documentary followed by a Q&A at his own New Mexico theater, they had our attention. We're happy to bring this exclusive bit of information to you in the hopes that you'll share our enthusiasm over this once-in-a-lifetime cultural event.

The Saturday July 9th screening of Neil Gaiman: Dream Dangerously will take place at Martin's historic Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe, to be followed by a Q&A. But if you can't make it to New Mexico or can't wait that long to see the documentary, Vimeo will release the film July 8th at 10:00am ET; you can head over there to pre-order it now.

Created by Respect Films' Patrick Meaney (Director/Producer/Editor) and Jordan Rennert (Director of Photography/Producer) and Sequart Organization (Producers Mike Phillips and Julian Darius), the documentary chronicles Neil's humble childhood in Portsmouth, UK, to his initial success writing Sandman, and ultimately his recent years as a globe trotting storyteller entertaining audiences, frequently with his wife Amanda Palmer.

Audiences will hear Neil's story in his own words, as well as through interviews with close friends and collaborators like Terry Pratchett, Bill Hader, Michael Sheen, Lenny Henry, Wil Wheaton, Stoya, JH Williams III, Lev Grossman, Brea Grant, Merillee Heifetz, Charles Brownstein, Sam Kieth, Jill Thompson, Colleen Doran and many more.  The film will also include moments of Neil chatting with fans, as well as famous friends like George RR Martin, Jonathan Ross, John Barrowman, Grant Morrison and Phillip Pullman.
