The promotional material Sony is rolling out for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo continues to leave an impression.  This latest poster is less dark and striking, though---more perplexing.  The art superimposes Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara's spike-haired head, and a plant.  I imagine the plant takes on more significance if you've read the story or seen the Swedish movies.  I missed the boat in both cases.  Now, two months before the December 21 release date, I'm ready to go in to David Fincher's adaptation cold.  For those in the same unfamiliar situation, the story is this: "A journalist-turned-detective (Craig) and his female associate (Mara) get tangled up in the underworld when he is hired to write the saga of a powerful family."

Stellan Skarsgård, Robin Wright, Christopher Plummer, and Joely Richardson also starClick here for all our Dragon Tattoo coverage, and hit the jump to see the poster.
