As HBO viewers continues to fall in love with John Turturro’s latest persona -- a defense attorney with eczema to boot on The Night Of -- the actor is returning to an oldie, but a goodie. Days after word broke of Going Places, a film spin-off of The Big Lebowski, the first photo of Turturro back as bowler Jesus Quintana has hit the Web.

Susan Sarandon, who co-stars in the film with Bobby Cannavale and Audrey Tautou, posted to the image to Instagram, writing, “The Man. John Tuturro on location. Love you.” According to Birth.Movies.Death., which first reported Going Places was already in its first two weeks of production, the story centers on two petty thieves (Turturro and Cannavale) who compete to give a woman (Tautou) her first orgasm. Sarandon, meanwhile, is said to play a criminal just released from jail after a long sentence.

Turturro has been talking up a Big Lebowski spin-off for quite some time, and Going Places is now essentially a remake of the 1974 French film Les Valseuses centering on Jesus. Turturro, who previously wrote and directed Fading Gigolo starring himself and Woody Allen, also penned the script and directs the film.

The Coen brothers, the masterminds behind The Big Lebowski, have publicly expressed their disinterest in making a spin-off, and they are seemingly uninvolved with this next endeavor. However, original star Jeff Bridges gave his blessing, while Turturro had remarked to THR that he’s been bowling and getting better.

Going Places doesn’t currently have distribution, but the Hollywood model around cinematic remakes and spin-offs makes this seem like prime studio bait. Executives are always looking for something to tie their properties to in order to ignite that nostalgia factor.
