20th Century Fox has released the first Gone Girl TV spot. Directed by David Fincher, the adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel of the same name stars Ben Affleck as a man who becomes the lead suspect when his wife (Rosamund Pike) disappears on their fifth wedding anniversary. This is one of my most-anticipated films of the year, and I hope the marketing stays on this level where they’re using Fincher's moody vibe and sinister tone to sell the movie rather than giving away chunks of the plot. I have the feeling this is going to be one mean movie, and I can’t wait to see it.
Hit the jump to check out the Gone Girl TV spot. The film also stars Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Scoot McNairy, Missi Pyle, Casey Wilson, Emily Ratajkowski, and Neil Patrick Harris. Gone Girl will premiere at this year's New York Film Festival, and will open nationwide on October 3rd.
Here’s the official synopsis for Gone Girl:
