‘Gotham’ Season 2 Premiere Synopsis Revealed Along with a Season 1 Video Recap

     September 2, 2015

With Gotham’s season two premiere date locked down for Monday, September 21st at 8pm on Fox, and a season-long plot arc established, now we can get into the gritty details of the fall premiere’s first episode. Fans of the first season watched the Penguin’s rise to power against friends and foes alike; the season two premiere finds him rewarded for all his scheming. Jim Gordon, meanwhile, seems to be on more uneven footing as he reaches out to strange bedfellows when he finds himself in need.

Additionally, we’ve got some plot details as to what new characters Theo and Tabitha Galavan will be up to, along with an extensive guest cast that introduces some new faces. There certainly seems to be a lot more muscle on the villainous side of things, leaving the heroes coming up short, but then, that’s the whole point of this new season, isn’t it?

But before we get to what’s new in season two, let’s take a look back at season one in this seven-minute recap (hat tip to CBM):

Here’s a look at the Season 2 premiere synopsis for Fox’s Gotham:

Penguin is King of Gotham and after a shakeup at the GCPD, Detective James Gordon’s moral compass wavers, as he seeks help from Penguin. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne continues to explore the secrets from his father’s office, while GOTHAM newcomers Theo Galavan (James Frain) and his sister, Tabitha (Jessica Lucas), make friends with some unlikely allies, a group of dangerous inmates from Arkham in the all-new “Rise of the Villains: Damned If You Do,…”
