Mondo Unveils Excellent GREMLINS 2 Posters

     February 18, 2015

In the legion of underrated sequels, Gremlins 2: The New Batch ranks towards the very top. Director Joe Dante made a new classic with his 1984 horror film, and for the sequel he didn’t try to rehash what made the original so great; he went in a completely different direction. Gremlins 2 has flashes of horror, but really it’s a darkly comic satire. It’s hilarious and strange and fun, so I’m thrilled to see that the good folks at Mondo have unveiled a pair of Gremlins 2 posters by artist Rhys Cooper, who crafted a Mondo poster for Gremlins back in 2009.

These prints are fantastic, playing on the 90s New York aesthetic of the film while highlighting the many, many different types of Gremlins that appeared the movie. And lest you think they forgot the electricity Gremlin, take a look at the glow-in-the-dark variant.

These Gremlins 2 Mondo posters will be on sale at a random time on Thursday, February 19th, so follow Mondo on Twitter for the on-sale announcement.
