A new Guardians of the Galaxy image has gone online, and this one shows off Lee Pace as the movie's big bad, Ronan the Accuser.  In the film, Ronan is after a mysterious orb, and according to the official synopsis, "has ambitions that threaten the universe."  However, the orb is in the possession of thief Peter Quill aka Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), who teams up with the assassin Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the rampaging Drax (Dave Bautista), the gun-toting raccoon Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper), and Rocket's muscle, Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) to keep the orb safe.  Ronan's costume and makeup is yet another cool design in a film that looks like it's brimming with strange and wonderful oddities.  Now that we have a good idea of Ronan's look, I'm eager to see more of his personality.  With the movie's release a little over a month away, I assume we'll be getting another full trailer in a few weeks or so.

Hit the jump to check out the new Guardians of the Galaxy image featuring Ronan.  The film opens in 3D on August 1st, and also stars Benicio Del Toro, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. ReillyPeter Serafinowicz, Michael Rooker, and Glenn Close.
