Many geeks like Nathan Fillion, and they’d probably like to see him play a geekier part than his role on the Castle.  However, they’ll have to shrug and accept the fact that he’ll probably never fill their fan-casting for Nathan Drake or Hal Jordan.  However, he will sneak into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Guardians of the Galaxy.  Initial rumors wanted to give him as huge a role as possible, and he was soon being connected with Nova Prime a.k.a Richard Rider.

However, director James Gunn, who worked with Fillion on Slither, Super, and PG-Porn, went to Twitter to quiet down the rumors.  Hit the jump for more, and to see Guardians of the Galaxy's Empire Magazine covers.  The film opens in 3D on August 1st.
