From screenwriter Knate GwaltneyKidnap is described as "a heart-stopping action thriller following a mother (Berry) who will stop at nothing to rescue her kidnapped son."  Lotus Entertainment will shop the picture to buyers at Cannes.  This marks the second collaborative effort for Lotus, Lorenzo di Bonaventura's production company, and Silver Reel, which currently have the remake of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance in development.

We previously reported that Brie and Scott were in talks to join Sleeping with Other People, but now it looks like a done deal.  The comedy is pitched as "an edgy romantic comedy about a womanizer named Jake (Sudeikis), and a serial cheater (Brie), who form a platonic relationship to overcome their chronic infidelity in this witty, contemporary take on modern dating--in the vein of When Harry Met Sally...but with assholes."  Principal production on the first film under the Gloria Sanchez banner will start in New York next month.

Finally, Ferres joins A Three Dog Life, an adaptation of the bestselling memoir from Abigail Thomas.  The project is "based on the true story of the traumatic brain injury (TBI) suffered by Abigail Thomas’ husband Rich.  Ms. Ferres plays Barbara Randall, a volunteer at the facility treating Ms. Thomas’ husband.  Seven years prior, Barbara’s husband suffered a similar traumatic brain injury."
