Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode

Laurie is a heroine that needs no introduction. However, her story is often complicated due to the many timelines the Halloween films have undergone. Thankfully, Green’s films are attempting to make things a little easier. Having previously survived the Shape’s 1978 attacks on Halloween night, Laurie has become a PTSD-ridden survivalist with a difficult relationship with her daughter. Although she was previously thought to have killed Michael at the end of the last film, she’ll quickly realize that it’ll take more than a fire to get rid of her archenemy.

Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her iconic role, having previously portrayed Laurie in five other Halloween films.

James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle as Michael Myers

Much like Laurie, Michael’s storyline throughout the years has become quite convoluted. In this timeline, he was caught by police shortly after his 1978 killings and has spent the past 40 years in Smith’s Grove Sanitarium. However, after two aspiring true-crime podcasters (Rhian Rees and Jefferson Hall) try riling him up, he escapes custody and sets off on another killing spree. Unfortunately for Haddonfield, the Boogeyman is real and a measly house fire won’t be enough to take him down.

Nick Castle, the original Michael Myers, briefly returns to play the Boogeyman, with stunt performer James Jude Courtney donning the mask for Michael’s more physical and brutal feats.

Judy Greer as Karen Nelson

She might be the third child of Laurie’s to be introduced throughout the Halloween series’s canon, but Karen is certainly a character that shouldn’t be messed with. After a difficult childhood, she has previously struggled with her estranged relationship with her mother. However, that history is put on the back burner once Karen realizes that her mother’s stories and fear of Michael Myers were more than real.

Judy Greer returns to the role after her debut in 2018’s Halloween, although she has previously appeared in other genre fare like Cursed and Jawbreaker.

Andi Matichek as Allyson Nelson

While her mother might have originally wanted to distance herself from Laurie, it is Karen’s daughter Allyson that has been wanting to rekindle the relationship. Her life might seem great, from having a seemingly loyal boyfriend to getting a National Honor Society award. However, Allyson thinks that Grandma Laurie deserves to be a part of it as well. She does eventually get her wish, but only when a masked killer begins stalking the town.

Andi Matichek reprises her role from the previous film, with her recent film Son currently streaming on Shudder.

Kyle Richards as Lindsay Wallace

Remember when Laurie was a babysitter and had to protect kids from Michael’s rampage? Turns out they’re still in Haddonfield and are especially pissed that he’s back. Take Lindsay, for example, who just barely survived that fateful Halloween along with Tommy Doyle. Her appearance as a teenager in Halloween 4: The Curse of Michael Myers might no longer be canon, but here’s to hoping she gets to help take down Michael for good this time.

Kyle Richards, while mostly known nowadays for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, reprises her role from the 1978 slasher classic.

Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle

Even though it is sad that neither Brian Andrews nor Paul Rudd will be portraying this recurring character, Tommy’s inclusion in this installment is exciting nonetheless. As many might recall, he along with Lindsay Wallace only survived Michael’s wrath due to Laurie’s quick thinking. Now an adult with a family of his own, it’s time for Tommy to honor his former babysitter by protecting Haddonfield from the Shape.

Anthony Michael Hall makes his franchise debut in Halloween Kills, although he is most recognizable for being a frequent collaborator of John Hughes throughout the 1980s on films like The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles.

Will Patton as Deputy Frank Hawkins

Deputy Hawkins might not have appeared in the original film, but his influence still looms over this continuity. After all, he was the officer who arrested Michael all the way back in 1978. The last time we see him, he’s in a pretty bad state after being stabbed and run over by Dr. Sartain (Haluk Bilginer). Thankfully, he’s still got that fighting spirit in him after all these years, as he’s confirmed to have survived this ordeal. The question is whether or not he’ll be able to survive the rest of the night in Halloween Kills.

Will Patton reprises his role from the previous installment and has recently been seen in The Forever Purge and Minari.

Nancy Stephens as Marion Chambers

Believe it or not, one of the most recurring characters throughout the entire Halloween series was a nurse whose car was taken by Dr. Samuel Loomis. Despite her minor role, Marion continues to have an important presence, even having been killed by Michael in one timeline. Here’s to hoping that she doesn’t meet a similar fate in Halloween Kills.

Nancy Stephens returns to her role as Marion Chambers 23 years after her last appearance in Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later.

Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett

If there’s anyone other than Laurie that is rightfully pissed that Michael Myers is back, it has to be Leigh Brackett. The former sheriff originally found himself hunting down the escaped patient, but was faced with tragedy when his daughter Annie was killed during Michael’s spree. Having found out that the man who killed your daughter and upended your life is back has got to be hard, so here’s hoping Brackett won’t go down without a fight.

Charles Cyphers reprises his role as the former sheriff from the 1978 original.

Dylan Arnold as Cameron Elam

I always thought it was weird that the last film sort of forgot about Cameron, especially considering he was poised as an integral part of Allyson’s character. However, it seems like that gap will be filled in Halloween Kills. He was originally introduced as Allyson’s boyfriend who gets caught cheating on her during a school dance.

Dylan Arnold returns to Halloween Kills after debuting in the last film and can currently be seen in season three of You on Netflix.

Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam

The Elam family in general seems poised for trouble. Cameron’s father Lonnie was said to have built a reputation around town due to his aggressiveness in the previous film. Given how Lonnie was originally Tommy’s bully in the original film, this shouldn’t be a surprise. However, we’ll just have to wait and see whether he gets things together in the face of real danger.

Robert Longstreet makes his franchise debut in Halloween Kills, but he's probably best known for his collaborations with Mike Flanagan like The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass.

Jibrail Nantambu as Julian Morrisey

If you were worried that Julian wouldn’t be returning, fear not. The foul-mouthed and toenail-hating kid was able to escape Michael’s wrath, although his babysitter Vicky (Virginia Gardner) wasn’t as lucky. We already saw that Michael isn’t afraid to kill kids. However, here’s hoping that Julian is able to escape the Boogeyman relatively unscathed for the second time.

Jibrail Nantambu returns from the previous film and can be seen in Home Before Dark on Apple TV+.

Omar Dorsey as Sheriff Barker

One character that could receive more development and characterization in Halloween Kills was Sheriff Barker. When he was told of Michael Myers’ escape, he pulled a Mayor Vaughn and decided not to cancel any of Haddonfield’s Halloween festivities. It looks like he’ll be dealing with the consequences of this major decision as Halloween night rages on and the body count rises.

Omar Dorsey returns to the franchise and is currently starring in OWN’s Queen Sugar.
