As Hillary Clinton seems poised to be the Democratic frontrunner for the 2016 Presidential Election, there are a number of Hollywood projects moving forward about the politician’s life that hope to strike while the iron's hot.  James Ponsoldt (Smashed) is attached to direct a feature film called Rodham about Clinton’s early political ambitions and relationship with a young Bill Clinton, NBC is developing a miniseries about her starring Diane Lane, and now a documentary feature is in the works from CNN Films.  While CNN is likely hoping the doc can help its fledgling ratings, the project is actually pretty exciting because Deadline reports that Inside Job and No End in Sight director Charles Ferguson is onboard to take the helm.

Ferguson won the 2011 Best Documentary Feature Oscar for the fantastic Inside Job, and it has been a very long wait for his follow-up project.  The focus of the Clinton documentary is unclear, but it’s promising to know that it’ll be in the hands of Ferguson.
