Way back in 2000 and 2001, Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema were able to put together video blogs to update fans on the production for The Lord of the Rings.  It's a little mind-blowing to think how far technology has come in just ten years, but Jackson is still expertly using the Internet to keep in touch with fans.  We've already got one video blog about the start of production on The Hobbit and Jackson has been using his Facebook page to give folks news on casting and other updates.  He has now launched in on answering twenty questions from fans and he posted the first two Q&As today.  The first official answer has Jackson talking about how the White Council and Dol Guldur will figure into the movie.Hit the jump for Jackson's full response as well as a "first look" (please, please note the quotation marks) at the White Council.  The Hobbit is being shot in 3D and will be broken into two parts with part one set for December 2012 and part two set for December 2013.Here's the Q&A regarding the White Council and Dol Guldur:

VALERIA KEMENTARI asked, "Are we going to see the White Council attacking Dol Guldor?"

This was quite a popular topic, with JOHN LIDDLE, TOBY PHILLIPS and SETH DONALD, along with many others, asking variations of this same question.

I'm not going to say just what and when, but I will confirm that both the White Council and Dol Guldur will feature in the movies. And not just in one scene either. Just how to visualise it has been a challenge, but fortunately Alan Lee and John Howe went crazy with ideas, and it should look pretty cool.

In fact to celebrate the start of these 20 questions, I'll show you an exclusive photo of the White Council planning the attack on Dol Guldur! Even if you don't want to be hit with spoilers, you should still take a look. For the first image of Gandalf, Elrond and Galadriel brandishing an array of fearsome Elvish weapons, CLICK HERE!

Now who wants to ask why The Lovely Bones was absolute garbage?
