New images from a couple of upcoming Lionsgate releases have landed online.  In a new image from I, Frankenstein, we get a look at Aaron Eckhart’s Creature confronting the scientist character played by Yvonne Strahovski.  Based on the graphic novel of the same name, the story takes place in the present day and finds the Creature being hunted by demons that want to learn the secret of his creation.  I caught the first-look footage from the pic at Comic-Con this past weekend, and it was pretty forgettable.  There are some interesting monster designs, but the whole thing looks like a typical January-release CG fest.  Not so coincidentally, I, Frankenstein opens in 3D on January 24th.

Additionally, Lionsgate has released a new image of Sam Claflin as Finnick in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  Claflin goes shirtless in this particular scene, as Finnick is seen offering sugar cubes to fellow Hunger Games victors.  If you missed it, watch the new Catching Fire trailer here, read my recap of the Comic-Con panel here, and watch the panel yourself hereThe Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens on November 22nd.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire:

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
