It's time to take the war to the Capital. Following yesterday's debut of yet another excellent poster, Jennifer Lawrence has revealed the first image from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, featuring a number of fan favorite characters suited up and ready for action. With Mockingjay - Part 1, the Hunger Games moved out of the arena and into the war-torn streets of Panem. With Part 2, the nation is engaged in all-out war after Katniss' acts of civil disobedience spawned a full-scale revolution.
I can't wait for this film to hit theaters. Mockingjay - Part 1 improved on the book in countless way, and it was only telling half of the story. With Part 2, we're going to get to see the action payoff built up in the first half, and finally see the resolution to Katniss' epic, often tragic journey. Lawrence's post reads "6.9.15", so it looks like we can expect a trailer debut next week.

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
