Fox Searchlight has released the I Origins trailer.  Per the Sundance synopsis, "A molecular biologist and his lab partner uncover startling evidence that could fundamentally change society as we know it and cause them to question their once-certain beliefs in science and spirituality."  It's a fascinating premise, and while the response among critics I talked to at Sundance was divisive, Adam gave it an ecstatic review.  As for this trailer, I'm really worried it gives away too much.  I feel like I've already seen two-thirds of the movie.  I understand the difficulty in selling it (and I'm surprised they kept the un-catchy title "I Origins"), but this may not be the right direction.  I still want to see it, but it's because of the Sundance response and Adam's reaction, not the trailer.

If you're still intrigued and want to get a better sense of the movie, hit the jump to check out the trailer.  The film stars Michael Pitt, Brit Marling, Astrid Bergés-Frisbey, Steven Yeun, and Archie PanjabiI Origins opens July 18th.
