For more than fifty years, June Foray has been the voice behind Granny, the Looney Tunes’ character tasked with taming Sylvester and Tweety Bird. Warner Bros. Animation celebrated the actor’s historic career at a private reception last night, along with a screening of the new Looney Tunes 3D short I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat. The short, obviously featuring Foray as Granny, will debut ahead of Happy Feet Two in theaters on November 18th. Hit the jump for images from the new short.

Iconic voice actor Mel Blanc will also star in the short via an original song he recorded in the late 1940s. The song, “I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat” has sold over three million copies worldwide. The short by the same name features the classic cat-and-bird plot as Sylvester the Cat chases Tweety Bird around Granny’s place. In attendance at the event honoring Foray were the director of I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat, Matthew O’Callaghan (Open Season 2) and executive producer, Warner Bros. Animation’s Sam Register and, of course, Sylvester and Tweety themselves.
