Patricia Whitmore and Dylan Hiller outran the aliens' primary weapon in the first Independence Day with their parents' help, but now they're all grown up and ready to fight back themselves in Independence Day: Resurgence. Twenty years after the first attack, Dylan leads a squadron of elite fighter pilots while Patricia works in the White House alongside the new president (Sela Ward).

While on the Albuquerque, New Mexico set of the sequel I got the chance to sit down with Maika Monroe and Jessie Usher to discuss what Patricia and Dylan were up to in between films, how their parents feel about them being on the front lines, what costume they were both dying to take home from set and more. Check it all out in the video interview below. Independence Day: Resurgence makes its way into theaters on June 24th.
