Good news for people who know that Carrie Coon (The Leftovers, Fargo) should be in everything: the talented actress will be appearing (ish) in Avengers: Infinity War. According to Variety, directors Joe and Anthony Russo spilled the beans to the British magazine Radio Times, stating that Coon will be lending her voice to the Black Order baddie Proxima Midnight. (Or as Coon clarified on Twitter, “To be fair, my face is in there somewhere. #MoCapWhilePregnant #AvengersInfinityWar”).
The Russos also revealed that Irish actor Tom Vaughn-Lawlor will be voicing fellow Black Order member Ebony Maw. We also know that Terry Notary is the voice of Cull Obsidian, so the only voice actor still to be revealed is that of Corvus Glaive. What's particularly great about this voice casting, regarding Coon, is that she actually has a distinctive voice (something that's weirdly not always taken into account when it comes to these things) -- and I'm very excited to see what she brings to the role. Coon also tweeted about the news, saying:
Avengers: Infinity War is almost here, debuting on the big screen Wednesday, April 25th. Reviews are being embargoed until the night before, probably because some key characters die but ... we'll find out soon! In the meantime, check out some of our recent articles on the upcoming Marvel epic:
