‘Inside Out’ Deleted Scene Shares the “Joy” of Take Your Daughter to Work Day

     October 27, 2015

Disney has released a new Inside Out deleted scene ahead of the film’s Blu-ray release. In the scene, which only reached the black-and-white storyboard phase before being dropped from the picture, shows Riley being overjoyed about “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” because that means she doesn’t have to go to school. However, she learns that sitting with her dad and watching his boring job isn’t all its cracked up to be.

From a plot perspective, this scene is pretty much impossible to put into the movie, although it does tie into Riley’s disappointment with having to live in San Francisco. Nevertheless, it’s a neat glimpse at the development process by showing how the emotions went from commenting on Riley’s world to the finished movie, where they try to be more active and respond to external stimuli rather than function as a peanut gallery.

Check out the Inside Out deleted scene below. The film hits 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD on November 3rd.
