The guy or gal who was tasked with coming up with a tagline for the Insidious trailer didn't do a very good job.  The trailer tries to play on the line "Insidious is Insidious" which makes the movie sound more like an Internet meme than a horror film.  Or maybe they just wanted to put the "taut" back into "tautology".  Either way, the trailer then tries to pull a little twist by saying "Look!  It isn't a haunted house movie!  It's a haunted child movie!  You haven't seen that before, have you?  Oh.  You have.  Well...crap."

Hit the jump to check out the trailer and get a bad case of haunted child.  Insidious stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, and Barbara Hershey.  The film opens April 1st.

Here's the synopsis for Insidious:

When proud parents take possession of an old house to build a nest for their family, an accident results in one of their sons falling into a coma. The tragedy doesn’t stop there when they are beset by vengeful spirits from another realm in this new chiller by the director and writer of Saw and by the producers of Paranormal Activity.
