Empire Magazine promised more Interstellar material after the outlet unveiled the covers for its November edition and now it’s making due on that promise by releasing six brand new images from the film. The movie stars Matthew McConaughey and involves a team of explorers who come across a wormhole to “surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.”
The new batch of Interstellar images includes two behind-the-scenes shots and four brand new stills from the film. Hit the jump to check them all out. The film opens in 2D and IMAX on November 7th, and also stars Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, David Oyelowo, Wes Bentley, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, Topher Grace, David Gyasi, Mackenzie Foy, Bill Irwin, Timothée Chalamet and Matt Damon.
You can get Empire’s complete Interstellar coverage when the magazine arrives on Thursday, September 25th, but for now the outlet offered up a brief tease of McConaughey’s thoughts on the film:
“This is the grandest adventure I think any of us will ever see on film … This is the biggest film I’ve ever been a part of. This is one of the biggest films anyone’s ever been a part of.”
Hathaway, who steps in as a character named Brand, very much agrees with McConaughey’s high hopes for the film:
“I am so excited for the world to receive this film, because there’s going to be a new conversation I believe will happen because of it.”
Hathaway also noted that Nolan’s intellect does not take precedence over emotion in Interstellar:
“It’s not a dry, science-based film. It has a pulse. It’s got blood in its veins.”
Yet again, Empire promises more on Interstellar tomorrow, so we’ll share the new material with you as soon as it arrives.
