File this one in the rumor pile, but Tommy Lee Jones may be joining the cast of Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger.  According to UGO, the actor is in negotiations to co-star in the Marvel superhero flick, but the role isn't specified.  UGO speculates that he would be a military superior to Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans).  But keep in mind that Jones is already signed to shoot Men in Black 3, which goes in front of cameras this summer.  With Captain America also set to film in the summer, is Mr. Jones gearing up for a busy season?  I don't know, but if it's just a small-to-moderate  supporting role in Captain America, it's conceivable.  Would it be cool to see Jones in the film?  I'm good either way.  I'm far more curious to know if Hugo Weaving is finally locked down to play the film's villain, Red Skull.

Captain America: The First Avenger is slated to hit theaters on July 22, 2011.
