It never ceases to blow my mind how long It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been running and how consistently it’s remained one of the best, most fucked up, and unerringly hilarious shows on TV. At the start of next year, the long-running comedy series created by co-stars Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, and Charlie Day enters its twelfth season, and we’ve got a delightfully insane new Red Band trailer to celebrate. (Side question — are Red Band trailers for TV shows a thing now? Because I can get on board.)
The new trailer is essentially a bit of rhythmically organized chaos — I’d expect nothing less from my favorite gang of misanthropic bartenders, played by McElhenney, Howerton, and Day alongside Danny DeVito and Kaitlin Olson— and it teases a whole lot of wondrous chicanery ahead for the layabout band of bartenders. There’s a lot to digest here — PCP, flying kicks, a dildo-pumping stationary bike, an appearance from the Duster, and oh hey, it looks like the gang got their hands on a rocket launcher. I’m so in.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns for Season 12 on FXX Wednesday, January 4, on FX at 10:00 PM et/pt, immediately followed by the Season 3 premiere of Man Seeking Woman at 10:30 PM et/pt. Watch the new red-band trailer below.
