A new image from Jack Reacher has gone online.  Based off the Lee Child novel One Shot, the Christopher McQuarrie-directed film stars Tom Cruise as the eponymous ex-military investigator who's is tasked with tracking down a serial sniper.  I haven't read One Shot, and I don't know how much McQuarrie's film differs from the book, so someone will have to tell me if Duvall's character only has one eye or if this image just catches him in mid-wink.  As we reported last September, Duvall has a small but pivotal role which is significant to Reacher's investigation.Hit the jump to check out the full image.  The film also stars Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, David Oyelowo, and Werner Herzog.  Jack Reacher opens December 21st.Here's the official synopsis for Jack Reacher:
