After Jackass: The Movie and Jackass Number Two performed almost identically at the box office to the tune of almost $70 million dollars each on a combined production budget of under 10 million, a Jackass 3 was all but inevitable.  But few, if any, imagined that we would be seeing Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and the whole gang in 3D. However, on October 15 of this year, we'll all be able to as that's the release date for Jackass 3D!  Hit the jump for the first image and an update on the film’s Comic-Con presence.

This first glimpse at the film wastes no time in showcasing the 3D elements of the feature.

Many questioned how exactly a series that was defined by its shaky handheld aesthetic where the cameraman was often a part of the zany action could translate to stereoscopic imagery. But then, many also questioned how the series could jump to the big screen, and then questioned how they could manage a second feature. Now it remains to be seen if the antics on screen will be nauseating, or if the cinematography will do the trick on its own.

Paramount will be premiering the first footage from Jackass 3D Friday night at Comic-Con so expect lots more information over the new few days.
