We got to celebrate the holidays with Silver Livings Playbook and American Hustle in 2012 and 2013 respectively, and this year we get to do the same with another David O. Russell-directed release, Joy. The film is inspired by the true story of Joy Mangano and stars Jennifer Lawrence as the title character. The odds are very much against her, but when Joy develops an idea that is sure to be a hit, she puts everything she's got behind it and winds up becoming the founder of a business dynasty.

With Joy set to hit theaters on December 25th, I got the opportunity to sit down with Lawrence and co-stars Robert De NiroEdgar RamirezElisabeth RohmDascha PolancoDiane LaddIsabella Rossellini and Virginia Madsen to play a round of our movie version of the game "Would You Rather." Check out what they chose between joining a project without seeing the script or without knowing who they're working with, working on a set without food or caffeine, and loads more in the video interview below.

Here's the official synopsis for Joy:

JOY is the wild story of a family across four generations centered on the girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise facing a world of unforgiving commerce. Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family, as Joy’s inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces. Jennifer Lawrence stars, with Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, Edgar Ramirez, Isabella Rossellini, Diane Ladd, and Virginia Madsen. Like David O. Russell’s previous films, Joy defies genre to tell a story of family, loyalty, and love.
