Jessica Biel and Dwanye Johnson.jpg

Earlier today I attended the press day for Sony's new animated movie Planet 51 and in attendance were Jessica Biel, Dwayne Johnson and Justin Long.  While I'll have a transcript of the entire press conference in the coming days, since Jessica Biel talked about The A-Team and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson gave updates on a possible Witch Mountain sequel, Tooth Fairy, Jonny Quest and Namor the SubMariner, I figured you'd like to read what they had to say tonight.

While I'd love to report major news on any of the movies, it seems nothing is happening on a Witch Mountain sequel, Jonny Quest, or Namor the SubMariner.  But the best news came from Jessica Biel who made it sound like The A-Team might be a lot of fun.  Hit the jump for exact quotes:

Q: Can you tell us anything about The A-Team?

Jessica Biel: It's going really well. It's been a complete blast. It's really fun. I'm getting to work a lot with weapons again, which I haven't done in a long time. That sounds kinda weird but it's the best to learn about that kind of thing. The cast is wonderful. Joe Carnahan, our director, is I think hitting the nail right on the head. We've got a really interesting tone going on.  I think I was a little concerned at first were we going to be really super-cheesy or really dark, or what we'd be doing. And I think we've found lots of humor, at the same time it's quite emotional and it has kind of dramatic moments. I think it's going to be a lot of different things combined into this one movie. But a lot of throw-backs and a lot of paying homage to the original show.  We're in the middle of it, so it's hard to know. I think it's going really well. Everyone says it's looking really beautiful and the scenes are cutting together really well. That's pretty much all I can say.

Dwayne can you give us a quick update on a possible Witch Mountain sequel, Tooth Fairy and Jonny Quest?

Dwayne Johnson: a Witch Mountain sequel I'm not quite too sure about that.

Why wouldn't that be a given?

Dwayne Johnson: I think out of great success breeds a lot of things, including sequels. While the storyline was set up for a sequel, so we'll see. I'm not ruling it out. I just can't speak to it because I don't know. I haven't spoken to any of the guys up at Disney about it. Tooth Fairy is very funny, I can't wait. It will be out in January. And Jonny Quest...I'm not quite too sure what's happening with that.

We'll see you in a tutu in Tooth Fairy?

Dwayne Johnson: You'll see me in a lot of things in Tooth Fairy. But it's great. The cast is great, with Ashley Judd, Billy Crystal, Julie Andrews and the great Stephen Merchant.

And the rumors of you doing Namor the SubMariner.  Are you doing it?

Dwayne Johnson: I haven't heard.
