Hey Los Angeles: We’re Co-Hosting a Free IMAX 3D Screening of JOHN CARTER Monday Night and You’re Invited!

     March 2, 2012

If you live in the Los Angeles area and you’ve been looking forward to director Andrew Stanton‘s John Carter, you are about to be very happy!  That’s because this Monday night, Collider is co-hosting a free IMAX 3D screening of the film with Slashfilm and Badass Digest and everyone is invited!  As some of you already know, I saw the film and loved it.  For two hours I felt transported to another time and place, and you’re going to be floored by the film’s size and scope.  Trust me, you definitely want to see this in a movie theater and if you have the option, I’d see it in IMAX 3D.

Which brings us to our free screening of the film.  If you’d like to attend, hit the jump for all the info.

john-carter-movie-image-29If you’d like to come to the screening, you need to RSVP to wds.events.rsvp@disney.com with your full name and guest’s name and say “Collider sent me.”  Disney is taking care of the RSVP’s for us and they’re going to send out confirmations Sunday night.

Here’s the theater info:

Monday, March 5th at 7:30pm

AMC Universal CityWalk Stadium 19

100 Universal City Plaza

Universal City, CA 91608

From what I understand, the theater holds 372 people and each site will get 124 seats.  As you might imagine, Disney is going to slightly overbook the screening so if you end up getting a confirmation to attend, please arrive early as seating is on a first come, first served basis.

Finally, I’ll be there along with Peter from Slashfilm and Devin from BAD.  It should be a really fun night and the best part is that it’s free.  Hope to see you Monday!

For more on the film, here’s the best trailer yet, some awesome clips, the featurettes, the 13 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the film, and 95 images.  Or you can click here for everything.  Also, look for my exclusive video interviews with some of the cast and the filmmakers next week.
