the news that Cusack may star alongside Wood in Grand Piano, which has been pitched as "Speed at a piano."  Variety reports that Cusack is in negotiations to join the indie thriller, but does not specify what his role would be.  Directed by Eugenio Mira (The Birthday), Grand Piano is a psychological thriller which sees Wood as a virtuoso stricken by stage fright who makes his triumphant return as a performer, only to find a strange message that forces him to play the best concert of his life in order to keep himself and his wife alive.  Grand Piano was written by Damien Chazelle (Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench) and is produced by Buried facilitators, Rodrigo Cortes and Adrien Guerra.

Law will star as Dom Hemingway, a black comedy/revenge flick from writer/director Shepard (Girls).  THR describes the title character as "a larger-than-life safecracker with a loose fuse who is also funny, profane and dangerous."  Having kept his mouth shut during his 12 year prison stint, Hemingway is back on the streets and ready to collect what he's owed.  Dom Hemingway, which also stars Richard E. Grant (The Iron Lady) and will be produced by Oscar-winning producer Jeremy Thomas’ Recorded Picture Company, stars filming this fall.

Finally, Variety reports that James (The Killing) will join Carell and Collette in the indie family drama, The Way, Way Back. The directorial debut of The Descendant scribes, Jim Rash and Nat Faxon centers on a teenager (James) who goes on a coming-of-age journey one summer while secretly working at a local water park.  He finds the courage to stand up to his cheating step-dad (Carell) and patch up the relationship with his emotionally distant mother (Collette).  The Way, Way Back also stars Sam Rockwell (Moon) and Allison Janney (The West Wing) and stars filming this summer in Massachusetts.
