John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, and Ken Jeong have joined the cast of Michael Bay's Transformers 3.  According to Deadline, Malkovich will play Sam Witwicky's (Shia LaBeouf) first boss and McDormand will have a major role as the "National Intelligence Director".  I can't really wrap my mind around that character as the words "intelligence" and "transformers" have never really existed in the same universe.  No word yet on Jeong's character, but hopefully he'll add some intentional hilarity to the film.

On his official website, Bay revealed that they would be shooting in "LA, Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow, and China."  He also revealed that there would be a new Autobot in the film.  He wouldn't give the name of the bot, but said it would be from the Ferrari 458 Italia.  Hopefully it won't transform into a racist caricature of an Italian.

Hit the jump to check out a photo of the Ferrari.  Transformers 3 is slated to hit theaters on July 1, 2011.

Here is the Ferrari 458 Italia.  I can't afford one, but it probably doesn't get very good miles per gallon anyway.
