The trailer begins with one of the characters exclaiming that demons will run free through the night right before a sinister creature flashes across the screen. Audiences are then shown main character Yuta Okkotsu as he struggles with being visited constantly by his late childhood friend, who made him promise to marry her when they grew older. Soon, Yuta is taken away to the mysterious Jujutsu High, where he may have the chance to learn what it takes to break the curse that has been cast upon him. As the trailer goes on, explosive action ensues, including fights with power chords-turned monsters and a giant panda. The trailer is in Japanese with English subtitles.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, and will serve as a prequel to the anime series Jujutsu Kaisen, which is also based on Akutami's manga series. Both the manga and series adaptation have been very successful, with the manga selling over 60 million copies in Japan alone, and the anime series being named Anime of the Year at the 2021 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The anime series is currently available to stream in its entirety on both Crunchyroll and Funimation. Additionally, a second season of Jujutsu Kaisen is set to drop sometime in 2023.
