Can You Make It to the End of This Jump Scares Supercut?

     July 9, 2016

Jump scares. To some, they are an unwelcome cliche. To others, a jolly jolt of adrenaline. They permeate throughout the horror genre and beyond, across all different kinds of films, and while some are more effective than others, pretty much all of them accomplish one simple thing: they are unsettling.

In an effort to give the internet a heart attack, the folks at Burger Fiction have decided to put together a jump scares supercut, and it is a tough watch for folks like me who kind of hate these types of scares. But I had to try, and so should you. See how long you can make it through this 8-minute compilation of some crazy-effective jump scares from a variety of different films, from classics like Jaws and Alien to more recent films like The Conjuring and Paranormal Activity 2.

However, this jump scares supercut isn’t strictly just horror films. It throws in jump scares from films like The Dark Knight, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, and Mulholland Drive for good measure.

So take a look at the video, created by Andy Schneider and Jonathan Britnell, below, followed by a full list of the films that are included. Godspeed…
