Only a few hours after Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean 5 vacated its prime July 10, 2015 release date in favor of giving the directors some more time to work on the script, Universal has swooped in and plotted June 12, 2015 as the official release for Jurassic Park 4, which is officially titled Jurassic World.  The film currently has that release date all to itself, though Assassin’s Creed and Pixar’s Inside Out are scheduled for release the following weekend.  Nevertheless, Jurassic World should make a very nice addition to the insane slate of films set to be released in 2015.  Hit the jump for more, including the official logo.

That official title is quite curious, as it seems to jibe with earlier information that points at a new kind of park being the focus of the Jurassic Park sequel.  Director Colin Trevorrow is credited with penning the screenplay alongside Derek Connolly, which appears to suggest that his rewrites to Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver’s draft were significant.  With a release date now officially set, we should start to hear casting news over the next few months as production gets ready to begin early next year.  The film will be shot and released in 3D.
