When Jurassic Park arrived in theaters in 1993 it's sparked the imagination of the generation with state of the art special-effects that brought John Hammond's prehistoric wonderland to life in astonishing detail. With Jurassic World, now available on Blu-ray and DVD, director Colin Trevorrow had the monumental task of matching that feat for an audience desensitized to such wonder after 20 years of remarkable advancements in the field of special effects technology.

In celebration of Jurassic World's home video release I recently sat down with castmembers Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick RobinsonTy Simpkins and BD Wong, and we discussed their on the set experiences working with the combination of animatronics, CGI, and human performers that helped re-create the wondrous and fearsome creatures of Isla Nublar. Watch what they had to say below.

Jurassic World is now available on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD. Here's the official synopsis.

The Jurassic World theme park lets guests experience the thrill of witnessing actual dinosaurs, but something ferocious lurks behind the park’s attractions – a genetically modified dinosaur with savage capabilities. When the massive creature escapes, chaos erupts across the island. Now it’s up to Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) to save the park’s tourists from an all-out prehistoric assault.
