I've loved the idea of seeing John Hammond's (Richard Attenborough) dream become a fully operational park in Jurassic World from day one, but then we got a string of lackluster promos and my high hopes waned a bit. Universal just unveiled a new trailer for the film and while it does have a good deal of familiar footage in it, getting the opportunity to see it for the first time immediately after watching Jurassic Park made the material hit so much harder than it ever has before. You spend three hours (movie + commercials) watching this incredible place rise, crumble and then, all of a sudden, you're back and it's exactly what John Hammond hoped it'd be and more. It was a brilliant marketing move and definitely had the intended effect on me.

Even if you didn't get the opportunity to catch this new Jurassic World trailer paired with the broadcast of Jurassic Park the other night, it's still a powerful piece. Check it out for yourself below and, in case you missed it, we've also got five new Jurassic World clips right here and a whole bunch of new images over here. The film hits theaters in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D on June 12th and stars Chris PrattBryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins,Vincent D’Onofrio, Omar Sy, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson and Judy Greer.
